ZipCar announced that it was releasing an iPhone / iPod Touch app back in July and it’s finally become available. Most of the free application’s core features mirror what is already on their website — you can easily find nearby cars and make or change reservations.

However, two of the most interesting new features are specific to your mobile. You can now unlock your car’s doors from the device‚Äôs touchscreen (previously, you needed to use a membership card to lock/unlock doors), and you can tap a button on the app to honk your car’s horn, helping you to find your car in crowded parking lots.

    Download the app here.
