With augmented reality emerging as the “it” technology innovation it was only a matter of time before it went mainstream. Musician John Mayer hopes to bring his brand of projected 3D to the masses with his new video Battle Studies.
By holding a special PDF printout in front of a computer’s webcam, users will trigger the start of the video. The particular iteration even places viewers squarely in the action by transmitting images of their faces directly into the context of the video. So now you can feel like Mayer’s personal muse, sitting behind the singer as he croons about love and heartbreak.
