Camper Hosts Public Event to Select Next European Store Design

By Dave Pinter on November 25, 2009

The design of a retail store typically get hashed out behind the closed doors of a conference room far away from the public eye. Camper shoes, who have a history of introducing adventurous store designs, decided to invite the public in to help review the pitches of five different design firms for its new Berlin store. The event was hosted at Casa Camper Berlin, the boutique hotel the brand owns.

Hella Hongerius who has designed shoes for Camper lead the review and announced the winner at the end of the evening. ErenlerBauer will proceed with their design concept featuring a large stairway that creates multiple levels for shoe display. The finished shop is targeted to be open in January.
