For 99 euros ($148.10) a night, one hotel in France is offering guests the chance to live the life of a hamster by eating hamster-grade food, runningĀ in a giant wheel, and sleeping in hay stacks at the Hamster Villa.
According to it’s owners Frederic Tabary and Yann Falquerho (who run a side company which rents and creates unusual and themed spaces):
“The Hamster in the world of children is that little cuddly animal. Often, the adults who come here have wanted or did have hamsters when they were small.”
Perhaps during a time when the world is a scary place, people like to take solace in simple, child-like things, or perhaps some animals lovers have always wondered what it was like to actually be their pet. Regardless, for those looking for shelter and hospitality in Nantes, the options just got a little fuzzier.
