Japan-based electronics manufacturer Thanko has developed a watch that actively tracks the wearer’s location, continuously syncing the information with an application powered by Google Earth.
Thanko presents the watch as a way for hikers to map their paths along trails for future review. We can’t help but see a number of other interesting applications for city dwellers as well with the increasing number of real-space games and projects powered by location-based data, many of the same nature as the Wolves and Sheep project appearing at this years Ars Electronica Festival.

Nice watch, I wonder if it’s already sold in the market other than in their website. Contents are in Japanese, could be translated but still it’s hard to understand…but anyway thanks for sharing.
