Melbourne fashion boutique Lulamae has acquired the talents of Breathe Architecture to create a sustainable Pop-Up store. Set to appear within the Melbourne Central shopping center, the store will be constructed entirely of post consumer waste recycled cardboard. The flat-packed pre-cut panels will be assembled within a day, remaining in place on the Victorian shopping centre’s lower floor for two months. Playing with the idea of boutique strip shopping within a mall, the pop-up store distorts scale, making customers feel ‘larger than life’. The temporary store will be officially open December 1st, 2009.
