The Energy Belt designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini is a solar powered monorail proposed as a sustainable transportation solution to connect the Italian city of Bologna with the city’s international airport. Covering 5084 meters, the track is lined with photovoltaic panels to provide power to the entire system. Additionally, each station is outfitted with solar panels, ensuring continuous access to renewable energy.
