The Imaginary Foundation points us to a fantastic project where fractals were rendered in 3D (apparently, a somewhat difficult process). The beautiful, self-similar patterns take on a whole new life in three dimensions. Click through to Skytopia to see how they did it.

Great, the potheads in the 90’s who gave us fractals have figured out a way to render them in 3D and somehow make them look even more like big buds..
