Emerging Real Time Pricing At The Gap

Gap stores in across Vancouver have introduced a new type of loyalty program for their shoppers called Sprize.

To participate, create an account, and shop at participating Gap stores. After 45 days, if the price on your items have changed, they’ll credit the difference to your account. This time-shifts the need for wait for sales and minimizes customer hesitation to spend money, because they are guaranteed savings if it happens.

While it’s an interesting approach to get consumers spending, how often do apparel retail stores have sales? We see this type of program appealing more to grocery and supermarket shoppers.
