Friends With You Store Opening
The Miami-based design collective that traditionally activate experiential affairs with their fun characters have now found their first fixed-point location, launching their flagship boutique in the world renowned Design District. Known to be contenders in global art happenings including Pictoplasma and exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Friends With You have been spreading their magic at public playgrounds, through toys and apparel, live performances, animation and multimedia projects and of course their large scale sky-parade installations. Housed behind the store is a workspace for artists, Sam Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, including their 5-person production team, business manager and a fully functional design studio. Marking an important shift in the future of their business development since their inception in 2002, Friends With You have positioned themselves within a design community that includes neighbors such as Christian Lamboutin, the Gucci pop-up store and countless influential interior design showrooms.
