Pictory Showcases Photography and Storytelling

Welcome to Pictory, a one woman operation conceived by Laura Brunow Miner, former editor-in-chief of JPG magazine. The word pictory is derived from adding a picture + story, equaling a photo story. The online magazine is a way for the global community to document and share their life experiences and cultures. Anyone can submit and the only requirement for contributors is to choose one large, captioned image relating to one of Pictory’s themes. The current editorial theme showcases twenty-five true stories of culture shock and is titled “Overseas and Overwhelmed“. Upcoming themes include Portrait of a Place: San Francisco, My Most Meaningful Image, and The House I Grew Up In.
