We’ve compiled a list of innovative perfume bottle designs that caught our eye around the web. All of the examples below capture the unique spirit of the different brands they represent.

Chaneldrip

Foamed

Fragrance collides with couture as Dutch designer Pepe Heykoop brings to life his series of customized Chanel No. 5 perfume bottles by pouring foam over them, dubbed Chaneldrip. This project was created for an exhibition in 2009 called 5.5 Icon meets Icons, curated by Al Sabah Art & Design.

Nooka

Clip it on

Jon Patterson created a series of functional urban perfume containers for Nooka.

He explains:

The result is a reinvention of designing bottles that are functional for the urban cities most of the consumers live in. Bottles, although functional, need to be transportable/ and why shouldn’t they be wearable? On top of that, they must have purpose. I wanted to break the traditional rules of what skincare products are, and began to design what they should be.

Six Scents

Six Scents

Each Six Scents bottle comes with a DVD that contains a film and photography which tells a story around the theme of each fragrance.

Grossmith

Grossmith
Grossmith is a fragrance originally founded in 1865. The brand didn’t do well in the twentieth century and finally stopped selling around 30 years ago. The great great grandson of the founder relaunched the perfume recently with an updated bottle that took subtle cues from bottles it used to come in.
Fragrance
Frangrance

Frangrance by German designer Alexa Lixfeld is fitted with a rather unique top: each of the three perfumes comes with a different concrete-block lid.

A Perfume Fountain

Humanity Fragrance
Anne McClain has tried to capture an act of humanity in a scent. She plans to show off her creation in a fountain of perfumed water in Brooklyn, New York. The bottled version of Humanity comes in a glass bottle based on the human heart, the work of designers Lance McGregor and Alan Iwamura.
