Garmin’s upcoming ecoRoute GPS platform taps into a car’s existing computer to give on-display monitoring of factors that affect fuel efficiency. Giving feedback on metrics like acceleration, average speed, RPM and engine load, the device rates drivers with an interface that makes use of game mechanics to track improvement.
