Food & The Customer Experience
Team PSFK have been in Seattle this week, and we made an observation at a downtown restaurant. Jeff Weiner and I had late afternoon lunch yesterday in the French bistro Le Pichet. Sure it’s cool in an understated way, and takes very authentic cues from France, but what I thought really set it apart was this: they wanted me to experience the food. Which might sound obvious, but it’s not what the vast majority of places do. Most food places want me to choose the food, then eat the food, then pay for it.
Le Pichet seemed to want me to share this great food they had prepared. They wanted me to taste this great cheese they had found, or savor the broad selection of meats they had put together. In fact the chefs peering out of the door seemed to be checking on my reaction.
