Heartschallenger: Ice Cream And DIY Spirit

By Laura Feinstein on January 22, 2010

Yesterday on Racked.com, a silk-screened shirt featuring Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s infamous 1994 Sassy Magazine cover was featured. While Cobain’s image has recently been used everywhere from Guitar Hero to Rodarte apparel, there is something special about this shirt which conjures up images of a more idealistic and earnest past.

It was no surprise, then, to discover that the shirt was created by Heartschallenger – a mysterious music, fashion, and mobile treat dealing collective,  who according to their site, use:

” tiny pink ice cream trucks to spread the word of the D.I.Y. spirit … We currently have trucks in L.A., Miami & New York and stock our trucks with treats from around the globe including but not limited to international candy, ice cream, jewelry, limited edition clothing, mixtapes, vintage deadstock sunglasses, glitter guns, etc….”

The group is available to bring their pink trucks to local parties, like they recently did at Opening Ceremony’s Fashion’s Night Out event. Heartschallenger brings not just tasty consumables and mobile retail, but an authentic party experience to wherever they go.

Be Sure to check out the Heartschallenger site for more info.
