MtyMx- A DIY Alternative to SXSW-2

As an alternative to the ever-growing mammoth that is SXSW, New York City DIY promoter Todd P has created the all-ages MtyMx festival. Taking place in Monterrey, Mexico right after SXSW, the three day event will occupy a drive-in movie theater space, and feature up to 78 cutting edge bands from the US, Mexico and beyond. An international mural exhibition will surround the event, and on-site camping is being offered. Shuttle buses will also bring festival goers across the border from Austin.

And best of all, MtyMx is a steal – tickets cost a mere $30.
