A Niche Tour For Pizza Fans
Scott Wiener is a passionate pizza enthusiast with a deep appreciation for New York pizza. He traveled cross-country documenting his love for delicious pies in his Pizza Journal and came across some gems that didn’t quite satiate his palate as compared to pizza back home in New York. Pizza became his addiction, and he started Scott’s Pizza Tours equipped with three things: a NYC Sightseeing Guide license, an unstoppable hunger, and the ambition to share his favorite slices.
There are two tour options. The NYC Pizza Walk guides participants on a walking tour through the streets of New York City. Focusing on pizza from a historical perspective, the tour begins at America’s oldest pizzeria and follows pizza’s rise to popularity with each step, surveying New York’s most prominent pizzerias in Little Italy and Greenwich Village.
The NYC Pizza Bus tour stops at pizza destinations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx. The itinerary constantly changes, and each trip visits four of New York’s best pizzerias, where attendees “eat slices from some of the city’s oldest brick ovens as well as classic New York slice counters, all while discussing the intricacies of pizza history and culture!” Whether you’re a hardcore New Yorker or first-time visitor, this food experience will give you insight into one of the most identifying aspects of New York City culture.
