3bits, a Brazilian creative studio that specializes in responsive installations and websites, has created SYNC/LOST- a multi-user installation that provides a comprehensive history of electronic music.

Fueled by the open-source language Processing (which is used to create interactive atmospheres), projectors, and 3 Wiimotes, users can hover a cursor over the many sub-genres and styles on the map- and are able to see and hear how they have influenced each other to create new forms of music over the last 50 years.

Each style is supplemented with an audio sample, and a short text summary of the song’s history.
