(Video) MzTEK: Providing New Media Education for Women

By Lisa Baldini on February 17, 2010

Over the past couple of years, MzTek have provided electronic workshops in London aimed at demystifying science for women and providing basic education in a variety of programming and electronic information. On February 27th, they will hold one for Arduino basics at the famed media arts organization Space. The workshops are provided at a nominal cost which shows another exemplary organization willing to make knowledge free as opposed to keeping it caught up as a commodity. The below video discusses their mission and the hurdles women meet when trying to become a “tinkerer”.
