Demotix is a unique wire service which takes content and images from citizen journalists and markets them to news outlets across the world. They have associations with some of the biggest media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and The Telegraph, which enable them to broker the content uploaded to their site by freelance and amateur journalists to various media channels such as websites, newspapers and television. The money from each deal is split equally between Demotix and the journalist.
