Light Tree: A Solar Powered Hydroponic Street Lamp

Created as an artificial, glowing tree, Omar Huerta’s Light Tree concept design combines a sculptural street lamp with a hydroponic plant growing system.

Solar cells located at the base of the Light Tree provide for the lamp’s LED lights, and hydroponic techniques are use to grow plants at the ends of the tree’s “branches.”
