Monocle Shop Funds New Hong Kong Office
Monocle Magazine will open a new Hong Kong office funded by sales of merchandise at their two retail outlets. In a media climate where long-standing publications have shut down due to lack of ad revenue, Monocle’s expansion can be accredited to their successful brand extension: the Monocle Shop. The magazine’s two stores in London and Los Angeles sell a range of products from back issues, stationery, tote bags, and a limited editionĀ Blackberry.
