TAP Social: DIY App Platform For Social Marketing Campaigns

TAP Social: DIY App Platform For Social Marketing Campaigns

By Kyana Gordon on March 3, 2010

For those with a great app idea but lack the technical know-how for execution, TAP Social makes it achievable. Launched by Transpond, a development platform for fully-branded social and mobile applications, TAP Social provides self-service app templates, giving advertisers, marketers, brand managers and publishers all that’s needed to build their own fully-branded apps or “engagement apps” for social networks. The applications are all developed in a native format specifically designed for use on Facebook, Twitter, iPhone and Android platforms, unlike Flash-based applications that cannot run on the iPhone or iPad.

The selection of applications include content apps syndicating YouTube videos or blog posts and engagement apps like face offs and quizzes. For example, Lifetime Television is engaging its Facebook fans with a Face Off app where every week fans choose the designer they like best and share their style preferences with friends. The process takes three steps: add content, choose the look & feel, and then publish your app immediately. All apps include a dashboard to track analytics and an easy one-click deployment.
