Tarantino Inspired Gaga Video Becomes Weekend Hit

Lady Gaga continues to steer popular culture with the promo of her new song Telephone. The adult themed 9 minute music video featuring Lady Gaga’s duet with Beyonce received over 14 million views in just a couple of days after being released at the end of last week. The first half of the video features Gaga in a butch prison setting, the second half has Beyonce & Gaga accidentally poisoning a diner full of customers. After a few product placements from brands like Virgin Mobile, the pair drive off hand in hand at the end.

There are several Tarantino references and homages. Apparently Tarantino liked the concept so much when Lady Gaga told him about the video that he asked her that Beyonce drive the same Pussy Wagon that Uma Thurman’s character drove in Kill Bill.
