What If All Bags Were Compostable?

Last April we wrote about Frito-Lay’s plan for 100% compostable SunChips bags, and the company has recently confirmed that they will be launching the packaging this year on Earth Day.

The bags down completely in 14 weeks in a compost bin, and are made up of polyactic acid (PLA), which is a compostable, plant based renewable material. The only issue now, is teaching people about the benefits of composting.
