Stahlbush Island Farms, a leading food production company in the US, has developed perhaps the first ever biodegradable bag for its frozen fruits and vegetables range. The BioBag is designed to decompose in months rather than the hundreds of years conventional polyethylene packaging takes, while still providing a normal shelf life and is made from brown kraft paper and water-based ink. The company collaborated with Cadillac Products Packaging Company to develop the BioBag.
