The Sartorialist wonders why shops today over-indulge in the visual display of product and images.
Scott Schuman, the Sartorialist, shows us on his blog these images of fashion boutiques which he argues are two of the few left that understand the idea of the ‘hidden treasure’. Schuman wonders why shops today over-indulge in the visual display of product and images:
[Stores] shout at customers to dance to their music and submit to their own experience. Shops of yesteryear seduced, like a strip tease, slowly revealing themselves to those that gave their time and attention.
The stores shown are Le Louvre in Melbourne and Bel y Cía in Barcelona.
