Future Of Health: Gathering Health Information Via SMS

A system developed by the Catholic Relief Services’ maternal health monitoring program allows healthcare workers in India to share and gather information efficiently through the use of mobile SMS. The system allows for real-time information to be transmitted in lieu of paperwork forms; through coded SMS messages, demographic and situational information is sent to a central portal for collection and analysis.
