Green Cigarette Filter Sprouts Flowers
Greenbutts are biodegradable cigarette filters that sprout into grass shoots or flowers when placed under a thin layer of soil. The filter, which doesn’t contain any chemicals or additives, is made with an all-natural hemp and organic cotton blend that can be combined with a variety of seeds. It will also degrade faster than current cellulose acetate filters which take years to biodegrade.
The company behind it, greenbutts LLC, has filed a patent for the concept.
