(Pics) Over 6000 LEDs Create The Illusion Of Daylight
Daylight Entrance is the work of Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken which was exhibited in the Salone Satellite 2010 in Milan. Daniel used the principles of daylight to create a light installation in the entrance and staircase of an office building, both of which don’t have natural light — creating an illusion of natural daylight. The back of the light panels were hollowed by CNC-milling and then backlit with LEDs. The installation consists of over 6000 LEDs across 3 floors.
The project has been nominated for The Swedish Design Award.
