(Pics) Lamp Shade Blooms To Release More Light
Patrick Jouin‘s Bloom.MGX Lamp was featured at the ICFF last month. Designed for Belgian design studio MGX by Materialise, Jouin took inspiration from flower blossoms to create the lamp’s shade that collapses and expands to allow for more or less light to be diffused. The shade is 3D printed as a single piece and the hinges transform the shade from a bud to a blossom in one movement. The lamp holds a 40 watt halogen bulb.
