The Fresh & Easy chain of grocery stores have launched their “Farm to Store in 24″ program in California, under which they have teamed up with local farmers to bring their fresh seasonal produce into the stores. These items are labeled in-store to let customers know what farm they are from. The program is proving to be successful, and has brought several fruits such as table grapes and strawberries to various Fresh & Easy stores, with plans to bring more variety of fruits and vegetables.
