Picture Frame Hides An Undercover Drying Rack 2

The Levi’s Care to Air Design Challenge seeks to find ingenious and sustainable ways to air dry clothes. One of the entries chosen for the finals is the ‘Nothing is What It Seems’ rack designed by Caleb Hill, an industrial design student at Carleton University.  What looks like an elegant wall mounted picture frame from the outside is actually a drying rack. The rack contains a spacious hanging area and is made from salvaged wood and hemp rope, making it a great concept in terms of sustainability, space constraint and aesthetics.
