By Lisa Baldini on August 17, 2010

i(Pawn) seeks to blend the physical and virtual to explore new interfaces to generate game narratives. Utilizing an iPhone’s touchscreen as its board, each player uses a small pawn to participate in a role-playing conversation. The game pieces are distinctly recognized by the system, and as they interact with the software, players are offered a variety of paths to take.

While this may seem like a simple exercise, it’s ability to break outside of the app-centric, standard user interfaces is something to take note of.
