Dynamic Billboards That React To Traffic Conditions

Dynamic Billboards That React To Traffic Conditions

By Dan Gould on September 9, 2010

Engadget points us to an interesting concept by Research In Motion for a dynamic billboard that can change its message based on fluctuating traffic conditions. The company recently filed two patent applications for the system, which would use sensors to detect when traffic was building up, and present a more content-rich ad. When vehicles are passing quickly, standard only information such as the exit number and name of a gas station or restaurant would be displayed.
