Marc Jacobs brand advertising of the past ten years is (arguably) an example of how advertising – when done well – can leave a lasting imprint in pop culture. Photographer Juergen Teller has worked with Marc Jacobs for over a decade. Aiming to capture the intelligence and individuality of the Marc Jacobs’ brand, past models have included Sofia Coppola, Charlotte Rampling, Meg White, Michael Stipe, Rufus Wainwright, Victoria Beckham and Juergen Teller himself, among others. A recently published book showcases a collection of campaign images, marking the impact of the Juergen and Jacobs collaboration in both fashion and visual culture.
