An all-web documentary allow visitors to explore the modern urban world, through the lives of people living in the low-income highrises of global cities.
Out My Window is a documentary exploring the condition of the modern urban world, through stories told by a few of the countless number of people living within high-rises across the globe. The documentary is viewed by means of an interactive web interface, containing 90 minutes of content that visitors explore by diving into 360-degree recreations of actual high-rise homes. The documentary covers the stories of 13 individual homes in urban centers from Bangalore to Istanbul, giving participants a sense of each inhabitant’s life.
Out My Window is part of the larger HIGHRISE project, a multi-year exhibition of web-documentaries, live presentations, installations, and mobile projects covering the human experience in vertical suburbs. Watch a video explanation below:
