Facebook’s Latest Redesign: Breaking The Ice Online

Facebook has unveiled their latest redesign in which users can see some substantial changes being made to their profile. An emphasis is now placed on images, and what individual users have in common with each other such as interests, and mutual friends. CBS’s Social Media point man, Joe Akbrud, compares the new Facebook layout to “breaking the ice,” because it immediately emphasizes all the information that you would share with another person upon first meeting them: where you’re from, where you work, where you went to school; in order to easily isolate commonalities, and give them a sense of your personality.
