Rubber Republic has developed a Viral Brand Chart highlighting the most shared branded content of 2010, based on weekly data from their Viral Ad Network. You might remember a few from this list – particularly those shared during the World Cup this past summer (i.e., Nike’s ‘Write the Future’). One of Rubber Republic’s most interesting observations is the significant increase in Facebook shares that occurred during the second half of the year (3x as much), and the associated increase in ‘average views per viral’. As noted by Rubber Republic: if your campaign now goes ‘viral’, it’s likely to sustain its virality for longer due to the wider extent of sharing within Facebook.
