2011 Detroit Auto Show: Kia’s Pre Press Conference Internet Tour

By Dave Pinter on January 11, 2011

Before each press conference at auto shows, most manufacturers display a logo or ambient imagery on the display screens surrounding the presentation stages. Prior to Kia’s press conference today at the Detroit Auto Show, they ran a piece of video intended to look like someone surfing the internet for information on Kia cars. The mystery user did searches for Kia content on Google, YouTube, Facebook, Bing, and Foursquare. The intro was clever in that it looked like it was happening in real time. The only give away that it was pre-recorded occurred when the video looped.
