2011 IMM Cologne: MODplus Stand

By Dave Pinter on January 24, 2011

One striking thing about the IMM Cologne exhibition is how corporate and refined the display stands are. With one stand trying to be more sleek than the next, after a while everything begins to look the same. When we wandered by the MODplus booth, it really stood out. Primarily because is was clad in common oriented strain board, a pretty rough looking material. But the texture really contrasted with not only the other stands surrounding it but also with the furniture the company produces drawing your eye towards each piece.

MODplus hails from Greece and currently produces furniture by Greek designer Sotiris Lazou.

The Manylegs Sofa is designed to mimic the way people sit on it.

The 705 Armchair blends modern shapes with the traditional look of a wing back chair. The back is designed in a modular way for an upholstered, open tube, or backless variation.

XOX is a lightweight modular room divider which can also function as a coat rack for guests.
