An eco-city on a grand scale has been commissioned by the city of Hanoi, Vietnam.
Green Tech City is just one of three urban initiatives that the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill will complete under commission by the city of Honoi, Vietnam. Its design will integrate two villages into a giant eco-complex with housing for over 20,000 people. It will include amenities like hair salons, art galleries, and ample green space.
Most green architectural efforts approach the concept of sustainability one building at a time. This grand scale effort will only include the most innovative approaches to sustainable, urban design, in every capacity.
