A digital kiosk recommends meals based on a video analysis of a shopper’s face, gender and age
Kraft Foods recently demonstrated a vending machine that uses facial recognition technology to give out suggestions on what users could cook for dinner tonight. The idea is to keep the “Meal Planning Solution” kiosk in superstores and have it suggest recipes based on its video analysis of a shopper’s face, gender and age. Users can also swipe their store’s loyalty cards on the machine for it to recommend meals based on their buying history or have it email recipes for special occasions. And this is besides dispensing out sample snacks for the weary and hungry shoppers.
