McDonald’s restaurants in the United Kingdom are introducing a new way to make fast food “faster”  by facilitating contact-less card payments.  Launched in partnership with Visa Europe, the new system equips customers with a contactless enabled card to pay for items that cost less than 15 pounds via a wireless receiver. According to McDonald’s, the whole system will be put into place by summer of 2011.
