For the NIKE78 exhibition, Johnny Kelly painted wooden clogs to look like a pair of the popular sneakers.

Designer Paul Jenkins conceived the NIKE78 project, with all creatives involved in the exhibition asked to use sport as inspiration to challenge the function of a pair of Nike shoes. Animator and illustrator, Johnny Kelly painted a pair of wooden clogs, re-imagining the shoes and abandoning function altogether. It’s hard to imagine running in these, which drives home Kelly’s point.
