The extremely popular car safety and communication service device, OnStar, can now be installed across multiple car brands. Till recently, this gadget was only available on vehicles from the General Motors’ stable (Onstar is owned by GM) and was a big reason for many people to buy their cars —  but with a recent announcement from the company, OnStar will now offer its windshield device and services to the 20 most popular non-GM cars on the road, which includes Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Toyota Tacoma.

OnStar features hands-free calling, turn-by-turn navigation, one-button access to emergency assistance and several other valuable services to the car driver and costs $299 for the device and $18.95 a month for its basic services.
