PSFK At The Detroit Auto Show: Ford Vertrek Concept

By Dave Pinter on January 10, 2011

PSFK is at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan today and tomorrow for the 2011 North American International Auto Show. This morning Ford unveiled a new compact utility vehicle concept called the Vertrek. The Vertrek shows Ford’s new global design language applied to their C-segment platform which also includes the new Ford Focus. The Vertrek features fuel saving technologies like 1.6-liter EcoBoostâ„¢ engine equipped with Ford Auto Start-Stop technology. The sleek exterior was designed specifically to reduce drag and aid in better mileage and less CO2 emissions. If produced, the Vertrek would be the most aerodynamic vehicle in its class. The Vertrek is visually striking in person and not as big as it appears in photos.
