Scooba: The Floor Washing Robot
At just 3.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter, iRobot’s Scooba 230 may well be the smallest robotic floor cleaner to hit the market. Thanks to its ridiculously small dimensions, the robot can easily clean in the tightest of places. Scooba 230 boasts of a three stage system-washing, scrubbing and squeegeeing, and uses only clean solution, not dirty water, for the floors. It also features a ‘Virtual Wall technology’ that forms an invisible beam across the room to keep the robot functioning in the earmarked area and a set of lights that alerts the user of the completion of the cleaning job.
Scooba will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.
