Facebook Developing Commenting System For Third Party Sites
In what could be Facebook’s big media move, the social network is now developing a third-party commenting system for the web. Which means that if everything goes according to plan, major digital media companies and blogs could soon be using Facebook’s new technology to power their own comments systems.
While hundreds of thousands of sites across the web already have some kind of Facebook integration by using its Connect feature to allow users to login with their Facebook details, the new commenting system will allow the company to have an even broader reach and get users from these sites to publish and cross-promote comments on their walls, and in effect, sharing more on Facebook.
