By Stephen Fortune on March 3, 2011

This concept device is a curious hybrid of tamagotchi meets rainy day saving scheme, and is driven by an even more curious back end of hardware. The gadget emotes via an iPhone secreted away behind a laser cut facade, giving the impression of needy, demanding, eyes. These eyes are only satisfied when a credit card is swiped into it’s mouth:

An Arduino detects and manages the money and transmits status back to a computer via Bluetooth, which in turn notifies the iPhone over WiFi.
